Overview
After a long wait Japanese car maker Honda going to launch their first mid-size suv “ELEVATE” in India. This is the first mid size SUV by Honda. This car will be made and manufactured in India. Honda will launch Elevate in other countries soon and they will export from India.
Honda Elevate was first displayed in Consumer Electronic show 2017. Elevates gives unique four-wheel steering system. This car also have a feature of self drive mode.
Engine and Power
Honda elevates comes with 1.5 liter petrol with 4-cylender engine. This Engine produces 190 horsepower torque of 179 lb-ft. Another amazing thing is it’s available with either all-wheel drive or front wheel drive. The engine of SUV is designed from one of it’s best cars’ Honda city. Also it’s a 6 speed manual transmission and a CVT unit which will generate 119bhp and 145Nm torque. Engine – 1499cc .
Price and Launch
The booking of Honda Elevate will be start in somewhere in July 2023 and Price might be released in August. Looks like first they want to see the booking response of the people then they confirm the price as India is price sensitive country. But company have said that the price would be somewhere from 11L to 17L but models are not confirmed.
Design
Looking from exterior , the Elevate have sleek LED headlamps , a wide grille, horizontal LED DRLs, a shirk fin antenna, a straight line on bonnet , tall roof rails , 360 degree camera , inverted L-shaped LED and many more.
From interior the Elevates offers a big touch screen infotainment system, a dual tone theme inside with color combination of beige and black. Also you get cruise control , ambient lighting ,ventilated seats , automatic climate control and more.
Honda Elevate Competitors
Honda Elevate no doubt going to give big competitions to all the cars of this segment like – Creta , Tata Nexon, MG Astor , Kia Seltos, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara , Volkswagen Taigun and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
Honda Elevate would be survival or revival ?
There is already a big competition in this segment but Honda Elevate can be on the top might the reason being it’s Honda’s first mid size SUV , Honda have just 3 cars in India ,Honda city, Amaze and Elevate so if they want to be in market then keeping all the aspects they need to give all the features which are already in competitors car and with that they need to keep the price as low as possible.
Honda closed their one plant in Noida, because of poor sales.
