Synopsis
Satyaprem ki Katha is a story of an unusual copule Satyaprem (Kartik Aryan) and Katha (Kiara Advani). Satyaprem aka Sattu is a lone bachelor who lives in Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad with his father Narayan (Gajraj Rao), mother Diwali (Supriya Pathak Kapur) and sister Sejal (Shikha Talsania).
He failed thrice in entrance exam of law. So now he’s like a stay-at home kind of son who helps in all household work along with his father. They belong to a middle class family and their house was mainly runs by Diwali and Sejal through their dance classes.
Sattu badly wants to end his bachelorhood and get settled. Since he’s not earning, no one is ready to marry him. Satyaprem fallen hard for Katha, she is the daughter of a wealthy snacks shop owner. He met her a year before during Navratri but at that time , Katha was dating Tapan (Arjun Aneja) so she told him he has no chance.
Satyaprem was desperately waiting for Navratri this year so that he can try his luck again on Katha. This time Katha already broke up with Tapan so Satyaprem was having high hopes.
Katha tries to kill herself , she slashed her wrist. Satyaprem arrived there and rescue her . He saved her life, Katha’s father gets impressed by Satyaprem’s behavior. He fixes her marriage with Satyaprem and both get married finally.
Now comes another mystery , Katha doesn’t allow Satyaprem to sleep with her under the pretext that he snores loudly. But later on it Satyaprem asks her if she is trying to avoid him or she is unhappy with this marriage. Then Katha drops a bomb reveals a secret . What happens next for that go and watch the film.

Controversy
Before releasing into cinemas movie is going through controversy for remake of “Pasoori Nu” song sang by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar.
The coke studio “Pasoori” was a super hit song, sung by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill. Pakistani singer Shae Gill has finally reacted to the much-criticised Bollywood remake of her Coke Studio hit, Pasoori. She said “Instead of sending hate, don’t listen to ‘Pasoori Nu’: Shae Gill”.
Arijit Singh was questioned by many of his fans as why he agreed to sing this remake of Pasoori.
One fan asked, “Can I ask one thing? Why did you say yes to this? I mean it’s your choice but Just a curiosity. I mean when you knew it way before we started talking about it.”
Arijit Singh explains why he said yes to “Pasoori Nu” song remake,
“The maker has promised me a yearly fund for a school for underprivileged” .
