PM Modi announced new US visa policy for Indian Professionals,

PM Modi recently visited US and signed some big deals with US. One of them was relaxation in US visa rules. It’s been long time since there were updates in US visa rules for Indians and I believe most of the Indians were expecting for some updates in visa rules from PM Modi’s visit.

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi given a good news for US visa aspirants, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed that they are going to open two new American consulates in India- one in Bengaluru another in Ahmedabad.

Also there is plan which is currently being worked by US govt which will bring changes in work visa rule and make it simple. PM Modi announced that now Indian immigrants no need to come to their home country only for renewing their HIB visa renewal. which was an pain for most of Indian immigrants. As per reaction of this Indian Immigrants celebrates this news.

While addressing the Indian people at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC, PM Modi said that , two new consulates of America will be opened in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. Also renewal process of H1B can be done in US only.

Authorities of United States informed that as part of people-to-people initiative they are going to bring renewable H-1B visas in-country to make this process smooth for all the H1B visa holders who are working in the US on this visa.

Also India is going to open a new consulates in Seattle in 2023 and Indian consulates will be opened soon in 2 more cities of US.

PM Modi said “Together we are not just forming policies and agreements, we are shaping lives, dreams and destinies,”

The India-US joint statement said. “The leaders welcomed an announcement by the U.S. Department of State that it would launch a pilot to adjudicate domestic renewals of certain petition-based temporary work visas later this year, including for Indian nationals, with the intent to implement this for an expanded pool of H1B and L visa holders in 2024 and eventually broadening the program to include other eligible categories,”

Diplomates of both countries said that the relaxation in visa rules will bring the movement of professional and skilled workers, students , investors and business travelers which will share the knowledge and contribute in the growth of both the countries.

The Biden administration informed that they would be bringing a pilot project to make easier in visa rules which they will kick off soon.

Every year , the Govt. of United states brings 65000 H-1B visa for the companies who are lookin for skilled professional workers for their work. Also they make available 20000 H1B visa for the workes who holds advanced degree. This visa is valid for three years and after 3 years they can be renewed for again 3 years.

The visa service of US are still processing the backlog , As due to Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020 , Washington DC halted almost the visa processing. Due to this backlog some of the families got separated for unknown period of time where some of the people took help of social media to show their situation.
